Omid Nadim

Omid Nadim is a dedicated professional and community advocate with a strong commitment to supporting Afghan newcomers in Illinois. With a background in corporate finance at a leading technology firm in Chicago, Omid brings valuable expertise and strategy in his role on the ACCI board. Born and raised in Afghanistan, Omid earned his first bachelor's degree from Kabul International University before relocating to the United States. Determined to further his education, he pursued a second bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), where he honed his skills in finance and business management. Like many who arrive in the U.S. as immigrants, Omid understands the challenges of resettlement—navigating the job market, continuing education, and building a vision for a successful future. This personal experience fuels his passion for giving back to the Afghan community through ACCI. He takes pride in helping newcomers with resettlement, career guidance, educational pathways, and fostering a sense of belonging. At ACCI, Omid is dedicated to empowering Afghan families by connecting them with resources, strengthening community networks, and creating opportunities for long-term success. His leadership and firsthand understanding of the immigrant experience make him an invaluable asset to the organization’s mission. Through his work, Omid strives to inspire fellow Afghans to build strong, thriving communities and achieve their dreams in their new home.
